Biden to Appoint Acting Agency Heads Due to Transition Delays

WASHINGTON—President-elect Joe Biden intends to appoint performing company heads throughout the federal authorities as soon as he takes workplace due to delays to his transition and Senate consideration of his nominees, transition officers stated Tuesday.

Mr. Biden’s transition staff stated profession officers can be put in place at most cupboard departments and in some subcabinet businesses following his inauguration subsequent week.

The transfer will allow Mr. Biden to stop any of President Trump’s political appointees from staying on the helm of cupboard businesses previous Jan. 20, as Senate committees have but to maintain hearings on the president-elect’s nominees, which precede a affirmation vote by the total Senate.
