A teenage motorcyclist who led police on a 30-minute pursuit at speeds of as much as 180mph (290km/h) via London and three counties has been sentenced.
Officers in Haringey, London, noticed a rushing rider at about 21:20 BST on 20 May and had been joined by a police helicopter as they adopted it alongside the M1, via Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
The biker mounted pavements, drove via a number of crimson lights and the incorrect approach down the motorway arduous shoulder earlier than he was arrested at a service station.
Marian Vasilica Dragoi, 19, of Teynton Terrace, Haringey, pleaded responsible to harmful driving, failing to cease for police, driving with out a licence and being uninsured and was sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court to 46 weeks’ detention.
